Gatsby? What Gatsby?

When I was in Grade 11 (5 years ago! omg!) I read The Great Gatsby and ever since then I've told everyone who asks that the novel is one of my absolute favourites. A few weeks ago I was talking to a new friend in one of my English classes and we were discussing movies that we want to see and the new The Great Gatsby movie coming out soon was brought up. Which of course led me to tell him how in love I am with the novel. He practically gave me the third degree though, asking me exactly what it was that made this book a favourite in my mind, but I honestly could not pin point a specific thing. The Great Gatsby is a beautiful novel about the corruption of a society, loss of morals, 1920s America in an exciting and thrilling age. I know I sound like a lovesick teenager, but I love this book so much and I can really gush all day about it.
Anyways, this whole long winding explanation was meant to explain why I bought this sweater pretty much the second I saw it. I didn't even think about it, I just knew I had to have this sweater. I've already scheduled out when I'll wear it so that I'm my classmates don't think that all I own is this sweater but considering how much I love it, I really could care less what they think.
