old stories

Marciano jacket, Gap tee, H&M skirt, Sperrys, Silks tights, Michael Kors watch, Ray Ban wayfarers, gifted jewelry.

I uncovered a bunch of old outfit photos that never got posted, so I figured that now would be the perfect time to post them since being sick prevents me from actually wearing anything besides my nightgown.
These were taken back in the middle of April when I was still in school. I have to admit that this striped Gap tee is probably one of my favourite items in my closet. It's such a simple piece of clothing, but I feel like it goes with so many other items I own.

This was also when I was experimenting with different hair styles. I should definitely wear my hair like this again because I like it so much. It'll come in handy for the hot summer weather.

See and Be Seen Kit by Anastasia Review

Drum roll please! I'm proud to present my first ever VLOG! So I have done videos before . . . three I think to be exact, but they were a completely different style. They were more like "music videos" showcasing my outfits. Anyways, this is a review on the See and Be Seen Kit by Anastasia, Beverly Hills.

I hope you all enjoy the review. This was my first time talking to my camera, so sorry for any awkwardness. Hopefully over time I will get better if I decide to make more videos. If you are interested in seeing more videos, please leave requests below.

Ps. I would like to stress that the prices I mention are all Canadian. American prices differ. I found all the prices on the Canadian Sephora website (prices are the same in the store as well). Anastasia website has American prices.

Pps. Remember to watch in HD!!

Ppps. I'm still learning to work my camera, so sorry if some items are not fully focused.

everyday i'm rufflin'

Wearing a Joe Fresh tee, vintage skirt, Aldo sandals, Michael Kors watch, LInks of London bracelet, gifted rings and necklace, Ray Ban wayfarers.

I've never been a huge fan of t-shirts but this one is absolutely adorable. It's basically the "basic white tee" upgraded. I never knew that Joe Fresh sold clothing this lovely, but now I think I'll definitely need to take another look at the brand.
Although roses aren't my favourite flower, I do love them, especially these white roses that seem to bloom all summer long. Besides smelling divine, they add something wonderfully magical to my already enchanting garden.

Toronto is experiencing terrible heat + humidity, so I sincerely hope wherever you are, you have better weather conditions.

away from a concrete jungle

Wearing a Club Monaco skirt, Forever 21 blouse, Sperrys shoes, Michael Kors watch, Juicy Couture bracelet, Links of London bracelet, gifted rings and necklaces.

I've always liked the Toronto skyline, although I do think that there are a lot of cities that have much prettier ones. Although these were taken during the day and are quite satisfactory, I think the Toronto skyline at night is incredibly beautiful, especially when seen from a boat. Speaking of skylines against a darkened sky makes me think of silhouettes, which leads me to my outfit. This particular silhouette is my absolute favourite: the fitted top and the full skirt. I think it's the most flattering silhouette for basically any figure and it's probably the most comfortable as well. Whenever I wear an outfit like this I feel like I've dropped down from the 50s.
This skirt has been in my closet since I was about 12 or younger. I bought it to wear during dance practices when I used to take Lithuanian Folk Dancing Classes, but it never got much wear. Who knew that all these years later it'd be one of my favourite summer skirts? Life's awesome like that and it also proves that you should never get rid of your clothes. You never know when you'll want to wear it again.

The Glittering Garden: Copper Island

Piece from: Silvernyc_123

I think this is one of my favourite pieces that my mom owns. It's such a beautiful mix between the green amethyst and copper. I've always felt that this piece resembled a continent, most likely South America, although it can be argued that it looks a tad like Africa. There's something so wondrous if I imagine that this piece resembles a continent because then I can envisage all the sights, sounds, smells and marvellous adventures that await a traveller in that particular place.

H&M floral top. Forever 21 tee. Club Monaco skirt. Geox flats. Michael Kors watch. Gifted necklace and rings.

Sometimes after my classes would end for the day I would visit H&M to see if they had anything good on sale. H&M sales are always incredible because they put clothes on sale so quickly, and the prices are incredible. This particular day I found this sheer top thing. I have no idea what to call it because it's not really a shirt, but it's not a cardigan...jacket? Kimono? I don't know. Anyways, I really fell in love with the sheer floral pattern and how light it felt on. It reminded me of warm summer days and sitting in my garden, of the breeze after a summer rain and delicate flowers that take over my backyard in the warm months.
Also, for some incredibly odd reason, this floral top makes me think of the word serendipity. I have no idea why, but if serendipity was a piece of clothing, for me it'd look like this top.

My mom gave me these sunglasses the other day and I ended up popping out the lenses and figured I'd use them when I help out with Orientation Week at my university in September. But they also reminded me of Luna Lovegood glasses, so the following are two of the very many photos I took of myself (most are me making weird faces, aha).

The Glittering Garden: Three's Company

Piece from: Ringlovers

This piece is incredible because of the three different parts. The three pearls at the top and the coral piece at the bottom frame the center piece highlighting the variety of colours that are reflected in the sunlight. Nestled among the Japanese Maple tree, I feel like this piece is almost ornamental in the "Christmas Tree" sense. If we decorated Japanese Maple's for Christmas, then this jewelry piece would be a beautiful accent.

I just made myself want Christmas. Oh dear!

Wearing a Forever 21 blouse, UO skirt, Geox flats, Michael Kors watch, gifted jewelry, Ray Ban wayfarers.

I remember the first time I saw this skirt online. I fell in love with it immediately because it reminded me of something that an eccentric grandmother would wear. It was quite expensive though, so when I finally saw it in the store for $20 I knew I had to buy it, even if I only ended up wearing it a few times. It's probably one of the most ridiculous looking skirts that I own, but I absolutely adore it.
I know that wearing blouses tied up like this is the "in" thing to do now, you can even buy them pre-tied, BUT I originally started wearing my shirts like this a few years back and did it a lot throughout the school year simply because it's easier than tucking in my shirt. It does wrinkle when you tie it, but that's what irons were made for.

Anyways, I hope everyone enjoyed their week, and is ready for the days to come.
