she walks in beauty

Despite my temporary blog delay, I am back! Besides two exams left, I am finished third year of university, which means I only have one more year left of my undergraduate degree. I'm incredibly sad. I really do love school.
I decided to have a little photoshoot today, and felt that the following poem fit the photos quite well. Not to mention that Lord Byron has some incredibly beautiful poems, although John Keats is definitely my favourite.

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

Thanks to my dad for taking some of these photos :)
Wearing a vintage dress, Aldo heels and mom's jewelry.

Glad to hear your back and this dress is so elegant and you styled your hair and jewelry and makeup perfectly. You look really good!

Have a great weekend and that's sweet of your dad for helping you out. So cool that's a vintage dress!

What a beautiful poem and beautiful pictures to boot!
Where has the time gone - only one more year left of school?! That is exciting nonetheless.
