luck be a lady tonight

Sorry for my lack of updates, but I've literally been spending every waking moment either at school working on the school musical which opens next week, or catching up on my homework. I'm going to have an amazing update on Friday as I have decided to purchase a lovely dress from American Apparel. I tried it on today and although my friend said she didn't like it, I'm going to take my own judgement and buy it. Of course, I will spend about half an hour trying on different colours and sizes to make sure I love it, but eventually I will fork over the $62.15 for the lovely piece of nylon glory.
I adore this dress, and it looks perfect for going out to dinner with friends or going dancing during the summer or to a cafe at night for some delicious tea and biscuits.

*After writing that I fell so much more in love with this dress.

I haven't had a chance to update with outfit posts, but I will leave you all with an outfit that was concocted for a photoshoot for my Ryerson portfolio:

I do like the outfit, but the skirt and coat are not flattering to my body and make me loook chubby which I'm not. Anywho, hope you are all enjoying your week. :)

it was in my mailbox

Today is family day here in Ontario, and sadly I am not with my family as I am stuck doing "homework" and sitting in sweatpants and a t-shirt. Nothing exactly blog worthy. Therefore, i decided to do some blog searching and after browsing through a bunch of blogs, I found a really nice one called Copenhagen Street Style. It's basically pictures of random people on the street. I am in love with these:

I adore the floral mixed with the blazer or leather jacket look. Even though it was really popular last season, I am really looking forward to wearing the style this year. I wasn't exactly a big fan of it last year, but I am in love this year. I have a great vintage floral dress that needs some serious hemming but once I do the work it will be deemed wearable. Shorts with pantyhose is one of my favourite looks this winter because it allows me to enjoy my summer clothes all year long AND it saves me money on winter clothes.
I also think I need much more shoes. All of my flats except for one pair have started to fall apart, and I only have one pair of really good everyday heels. I don''t even have a pair of leather boots, my pair of winter leather shoes are my Enzo Angiolini's and even those aren't that great when the weather is too cold. Therefore, I have created a list of shoes that I would love to have:

on a balcony of winter air

The weather is really nice out here and it's really helping me enjoy the long weekend.

white long sleeved tee, J.Crew. vest, vintage. denim shorts, AE. tights, unknown. shoes, Enzo Angiolini. jewelery, random.

I'm trying to stay away from spending any more money on clothes but I've been checking the AA website and I am in love with the following items:

I'm currently really inspired by the weather although it's really annoying when I go outside because it looks much warmer than it actually is. I have a bunch of amazing summer clothes that I cannot wait to show you all. Hopefully summer will come soon.

pop! goes my heart

Happy Valentine's Day everybody! I'm taking a break from my V-Day celebrations to update you all. I was dressed in red and pink all day and than I changed into something fancier for the evening. Unfortunately I spilled some sweet spelling perfume stuff on my lovely tights, therefore, they will be visiting the washing machine tonight. I hope you all are having a lovely day and evening!

I threw on some random stuff today. I didn't even think about what I was wearing. The shirt is my mother's that I kindly stole from her for tonight's party. I love my mother for understanding my pain of having nothing to wear.

shirt, Marciano. shorts, Forever 21. tank top, Abercrombie (ewww). tights, unknown. ring, Forever 21. headband, self made. shoes, Nine West.

The last picture is to show my full outfit. I didn't like my face in the picture so I took it out.

I am currently in love with this dress from American Apparel (in black). I really want it. I think it would be great for my Musical after party next month, so I'll have to go see about buying it. I really truly want it. So much!

Favourite movie today: Mamma Mia!

hold on to your hat

I've been extremely busy with life, hence the lack of updates, but I do have an am zing update to show you all. And to think that it all started off with me finding an old pair of jeans...although their probably more new old since I've only ever worn them once. I bought them 2 years ago on my trip to Europe, and now I'm officially declaring them as my favourite jeans ever.
Although it's February, it's pretty nice outside, which is really surprising considering February is usually covered in snow. I just HAD to have a photoshoot since we don't get many days likes this, and I had to capture it in a photograph.

shirt, Zara. jeans, Bershka. shoes, Enzo Angiolini. coat; hat; scarf; purse; glasses, vintage. necklace, random.

I've started writing down poems, lyrics, quotes down in a notebook, along with making lists of things I want to do. It's really helping me get inspiration. I cannot wait till spring/summer so I can do a circus themed outfit/shoot. Although I could probably pull something off now, the whole circus theme screams summer to me, so I'll wait till than.
On Monday I handed in my portfolio to Ryerson Univeristy for Fashion Communication, so I really hope I'll get in, but I won't know till early May, which really sucks.
Anyways, I'm off to enjoy my long weekend, and I leave you all with my current favourite songs:
  • Ultraviolet - Stiff Dylans
  • Love Story - Taylor Swift
  • I'm Yours - Jason Mraz
